SITAPUR, India – District Magistrate Dr. Rajaganapathy R. and Superintendent of Police Ankur Agarwal chaired a crucial meeting today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, to review the preparations for the upcoming grand Kanwar Yatra and a large community feast. The event, organized under the aegis of Shiv Shakti Sanatan Seva Samiti and under the patronage of Shri Tyagi Baba, is set to take place in Laharpur.
Extensive Arrangements for Pilgrims
The meeting, held at Khemkaran Inter College in Laharpur, focused on ensuring comprehensive arrangements for Kanwar pilgrims and devotees. Provisions include food, drinking water, and adequate resting facilities. Special measures have been put in place by the police and administration to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic management throughout the pilgrimage. These efforts aim to facilitate a peaceful, safe, and convenient Kanwar Yatra.
Security and Traffic Management
Adequate police forces have been deployed along major routes, sensitive locations, and resting points during the Kanwar Yatra. Emphasis is being placed on maintaining smooth traffic flow while prioritizing the safety and security of devotees. Police officials are conducting continuous inspections of arrangements and providing necessary instructions to personnel on duty.
