Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh – A grand Kanwar Yatra, led by Gram Pradhan Vikram Singh, was organized for the fourth time in the Arro Khemjitpur village panchayat area of Parsendi development block, Sitapur. The procession, marked by festive music and large crowds, commenced after prayers at the Khajuha Baba Mahadev Temple.
Devotees, immersed in Shiva worship, danced and sang as they proceeded. Along the route, social workers and local residents showered flowers on the Kanwariyas, welcoming them at various points. Upon reaching Jhrekhapur intersection, Omkar Yadav, Gram Pradhan Vikram Singh, Ravi Thapar, Dinesh Yadav, and Vivek Singh, among others, greeted the pilgrims with flower showers.
Following the reception, the Kanwariyas continued their journey to the Gauri Shankar Darbar in Hargaon for darshan and 'jalabhishek' (offering water) to Lord Shiva. Several hundred Kanwariyas participated in the yatra, accompanied by dozens of four-wheelers, two-wheelers, and tractor-trolleys.
Security arrangements for the procession were managed by the Bada Gaon police outpost up to Jhrekhapur. Beyond this point, Jhrekhapur outpost in-charge Rajesh Kumar Saroj and his team took charge of maintaining security.
